From Salt Water Farm’s website: Each day’s ingredients are brought to us from local farmers, fisherman and foragers, and showcase the finest of what Maine has to offer. We understand that many circumstances affect growing, and we enjoy the challenge that nature presents us as chefs. Our nightly menu reflects what we would cook at home for ourselves or for a table of our closest friends. It is served family style and presents a procession of dishes that honor the time of year and their place of origin. We believe in resourcefulness in the kitchen and will find practical uses for odds, ends and leftovers throughout the day. Our breads and pastries are made with traditional recipes and live yeasts, in gratitude for an ancient art. We believe that as a community, we can eat healthier food, which is conveyed through our menus at Salt Water Farm.

Editor’s note: While buttering your bread at one of the family style tables designed by Josh and Owen of Switch Furniture Design, glance around the beautiful setting at Union Hall and you may spot one of Jessica Stammen’s 207 series paintings on display!
