About this painting:¬†Memorial Day Weekend 2013 was a wash out in Maine. In years past it has marked the time when ¬†cabins on Megunticook Lake are aired out after the long winter; docks go in the water, grills are fired up, and a few hardy water skiers might even don wetsuits to brave the icy wake of a powerboat. The water usually isn’t warm enough for sustained swimming till the week school lets out (mid-June). This year it might be later…
