Tuesday 207

painting by Jessica Stammen

About this painting: It’s that time of year again; I’m getting ready for my annual six mile swim, probably in August. I’m spending lots of time in the water. No matter how far I swim at any one time, I love the moment of rest immediately following the distance. Especially in the morning, when the surface is calm and the light is just breaking across the treeline, this moment is full of the greatest peace and satisfaction.
