Ukrainian Egg Workshop
Until my brother was twenty-one he insisted that my mom hide candy and Easter eggs all around the house for us to find and collect in baskets prepped with plastic grass. There’s nothing like watching an otherwise grown, six-foot-three man run around in his pajamas and pick jelly beans off the top of door frames.
No matter your age, and no matter whether you’ll get your hunt on a week from today on Easter morning, wouldn’t it be sheer delight to find a basket full of these Ukrainian beauties waiting for you? Or to make a crate full to give to family and friends? You can. From Emily Qualey over at the EQ:
Bridget Qualey will be teaching a workshop on Ukrainian egg decorating on Tuesday, April 3 from 6-8 p.m. at Ashwood Waldorf School in Rockport. A $5-$10 donation is asked to cover expenses; all materials will be provided. Registration is required. For more information call 236-8021 or email info@ashwoodwaldorf.org.
