This year I’m experimenting a bit with baking for holiday cookie tins.  Last year tins were kept simple when my friend Shoshannah and I made beautifully decorated sugar cookies (okay, she did and I inspired by her tried harder than normal to create beauty on sugar with sugar).  Sunset Magazine has provided me with a few good home ideas and recipes, including this one for White Christmas Dream Drops. Normally one to go for dark chocolate… the look of these meringues, the idea of crushed peppermint candies in a cookie, and that they are chewy on the inside won out and I ended up for the first time in longer than I can remember baking with white chocolate. The results are delicious. Easy to make I highly recommend this recipe!
